Winners of Business Idea Idol 2015

April 14, 2015

“Business Idea Idol” is a business idea development and pitching competition held for Business Students at the Münster University of Applied Sciences. The Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre, namely Todd Davey as its creator and lecturer, runs it on a yearly basis. This year the competition took place for the 8th time.
On 14th of April 6 groups of dedicated students presented their most convincing concepts. They spent 7 minutes giving an overview of their business idea as well as providing information relevant to the idea explanation, the market for the concept, the strategy for bringing the idea to market and the financial aspects.
There are two awards: All students from the public audience get 100.000 € to invest in the concepts. The concept allocating the most money wins. And there is a Jury award based on assessed quality of the concepts:

The winners of Business Idea Idol (by audience) were four female entrepreneurs in the making from EXpower, a virtual reality fitness bike:
Maximiliane Schröder; Erika Hartung, Jacqueline Döring-Gil, Monika Florova
The Jury vote went to PartyPal, a drug-detecting straw for the party community:
Mareen Wienand, Patrick Müller
