Jochen Barth from Service Science Factory visits the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre

December 05, 2013

The Service Science Factory is an institution of the University of Maastricht, Netherlands. The institute combines the areas of research and student education in their projects with business, applying the latest research results and integrating new students every year. Thereby PhD, Master and Bachelor students are able to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and learn how to solve real-life problems in a creative way. Jochen’s visit to the S2BMRC evolved around closer cooperation between both the S2BMRC and the Service Science Factory. As both institutes undertake similar practices and have mutual interests there was a lot of common ground for a future partnership. First the main focus will be on the exchange of methods and experience, as the S2BMRC already has a great portfolio of methods and instruments to share.

In addition to the visit to the S2BMRC Jochen has lectured on entrepreneurship at universities. The main points of the lecture were on opportunity identification and filling market gaps. Displayed and explained through innovative ideas, comprehensible examples and in-depth case studies.
