Distinguished Mexican Delegation of UAEH visting S2BMRC and deepening the relationship of the two organisations

The nearly 10 year relationship of S2BMRC and the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH) in Mexico reached a next level of quality by a visit of Gerardo Sosa Castelán, president of the council of UAEH and former Rector.

Gerardo Sosa Castelán was leading a Mexican delegation to deepen and broaden up the fields of collaboration and to elaborate on further opportunities on project level. Potential staff exchange and joint applications for Science-to-Business (S2B) and Science-to-Society (S2S) projects have been discussed.
The delegation consisted of the following participants:
  • Lic. Gerardo Sosa Castelán, Presidente del Patronato Universitario, A.C., UAEH
  • Dra. Lydia Raesfeld, Directora del Parque Científico y Tecnológico, UAEH
  • Dr. Orlando Ávila Pozos, Director del Instituto de Ciencias Básicas e Ingeniería (ICBI), UAEH

The visit also included a meeting with Professor Frank Dellmann, Vice President International of Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) and a visit to GRIPS, the Science and Technology Park of MUAS on Steinfurt Campus, where the guests received a presentation delivered by Stefan Adam from Transfer Agency of MUAS.

On the 1st of March the new Science and Technology Park of UAEH in Pachuca will be opened and launched to the public. Based on 2 joined projects, UniTransfer (DIES of DAAD and HRK) and d-PoLiTaTE (Alpfa3 EU) and a number of seminars and workshops held in Pachuca a new science park concept was created by Dra Lydia Raesfeld, who is now in Charge of the Science Park and will lead it into a successful future.
